Growing Along With Penny Lane

Adopt

 a

Tree in

Penny Lane

This new initiative has really taken off!

In early November PLDT was awarded 105 trees from the Mersey Forest.

We decided to create a campaign that is close to our hearts.

By adopting a tree in Penny Lane you can do a number of helpful things.

You can help conserve our environment

You can help us to educate young people about how important it is to look after our trees

You can help our community centre remain sustainable

You can leave your mark on

PENNY LANE

The campaign started on 11th November and so far we have raised a massive £200.00

We have had local people, young people and tourist alike adopting a tree.

We held a special thank you BBQ on Saturday 19th November to show our appreciation to all those wonderful environmental

helpers who have made our Octopus’ Garden what it is today.

Anyone wanting to adopt a tree can contact us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

It cost as little as £2.00 per year to adopt a tree.

The support we have received is FABTASTIC.

Thank you to Everyone.

Tree Planting Day

&

BBQ

PLDT has been given some trees from the Mersey Forrest.  We aim to have a Tree Planting Day on 19th November.

We have invited all the people who have helped us work in the Octopus Garden.

We are going to host a BBQ to say a BIG thank you to all those who have contributed to helping support this work.

The Children from the local scout group will join us too and each child will receive a Tree Champion certificate.

Without the help of the local people this project would not be able to happen.
